The Alan Turing Institute • Cheltenham, UK
Leading a stripy team of Academic, Industry and Public Sector staff to design, develop, deploy and deliver highly available Machine Learning services to TIRE’s Partner for operational & business use-cases. Most recently, bringing project vision and leadership to deliver a first-of-its-kind Retrieval-Augmented Generation capability to the whole organisation - answering approximately 50k questions each week across a variety of domains. Gathering requirements and designing solutions for text-processing microservices, such as chunking, topic modelling and agents. Contribution to timely Expert Analysis piece in CeTAS publication.

Developing productionised, wide-scale Machine Learning services to TIRE’s Partner for operational & business use-cases as an Individual Contributor. Helping to deliver key operational capability in the form of text embedding and reranking in highly available microservices, alongside custom integrations into open source software (Haystack).
HMG • Cheltenham, UK
Delivering operational data science and ML reports & solutions, as well as novel self-directed data science research, within HMG in order to improve the nation’s cybersecurity. Collaborating with HMG, Academic, Industry & 2nd Party partners to pull new research through to production. Led collaboration with Alan Turing Institute & Dstl on Optimal Decision Making - work presented at ICML 2022 ML4Cyber Workshop.
HMG • Cheltenham, UK
Worked as an analyst for HMG, drawing together disparate data sources using analytic and automated techniques in order to deliver high-impact end-product reporting to HMG and 2nd Party stakeholders.
Centre for Polar Observation and Monitoring (CPOM) • Leeds, UK
Developed a cross-platform mobile application to assist in outreach for CPOM during an (extended) summer placement. Application showed historic and contemporary sea ice thickness from CPOM’s modeling outputs in a modern and intuitive way, allowing the public to interact with the data.

Achieved First Class Honours BSc & MPhys in Physics from the University of Leeds. Final year project applied novel machine learning approaches to a Quantum Information problem in order to improve efficiency - work published in International Journal of Quantum Information.
